Imagine if we could go back to religious education classes now, as adults, with all of our lived experience and the interest we now have in our faith. What questions would you ask? What would you hope to learn?
That's exactly what our Adult Education offerings provide at St. Columba - a chance to dive deeper into your faith as an adult. With the foundation already in place, we build on that with “faith seeking understanding” (from St. Augustine). We believe, so we seek to better understand the mystery of God
The Adult Education groups meets regularly for Bible studies, videos, and group discussions about the faith. Led by clergy and lay teachers, we've worked through several video courses by Bishop Robert Barron, books of the Bible, CS Lewis' Mere Christianity, and various other works. We'll soon be embarking on the Jesus of Nazareth trilogy in remembrance of the late Pope Benedict.
Our group is open to high school, college, and adult members, and it is always full of challenge but free of charge!
