Deacon Chris Merenda

Hello, my name is Deacon Chris Merenda and I have been a deacon at St. Columba since my ordination in June 2019. My wife Mary and I have two amazing daughters, Sarah and Meagan.  Our family has been parishioners at St. Columba for almost 30 years!  In addition to my “regular” deacon responsibilities of serving at Masses, Baptisms, Weddings, our Adoration Chapel and Funerals, I am a proud member of our St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and am the Coordinator of our Adult Program to support people who are thinking of becoming Catholic or are already Catholic and looking to complete their sacraments.  I feel blessed to be here at St. Columba and try to meet everyone where they are in their journey of faith and help them to get to know Jesus better.
