First Communion Information

Receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time is such a profound gift, and we have such joy in being able to prepare your children for their First Holy Communion. We also take great responsibility in coming alongside you to ensure that they are ready for this pivotal moment in their life of faith. Our goal is that the preparation we do now leaves them with a long-standing appreciation for the Mass and a continued desire to receive Our Lord in the Eucharist.

At St. Columba, reception of First Communion takes place during the second grade. If your student has not yet received First Communion and is older than Grade 2, please reach out to us, and we will enroll them in our OSS (Out of Sequence Sacraments) program to assist them in receiving the sacrament.
